In which some draq queens, including Willam from RuPaul’s Drag Race, seem to endorse notoriously anti-gay Chick-fil-A in what can only (hopefully) be a satirical video about the fast-food chain. Thoughts?

We live in a culture where everyone is offended by everything. Everybody’s like, ‘Oh my god, I’m offended!’ It’s an ego-based culture we live in. The ego has everything to do with identity. So, you know, drag actually mocks identity. So it doesn’t really make any sense. I think, in my world, in my circle of friends, we mock everything! Everything is up to be mocked. Don’t take anything seriously.- Drag queen RuPaul says ABC’s sitcom Work It wasn’t actually that offensive and that people are too easily offended. Do you agree? More.

GLAAD releases nominees for best gay ads of the year
The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation recently published its list of nominees for its Media Awards in Advertising.
Awards are given based on advertisements’ “fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.”
Click the link above for a sneak peek at some of the candidates, including Absolut Vodka commercials featuring RuPaul queens, Levi’s Gay History Month Campaign, Miller Lite’s “Great To See You Out” slogan, subtly sexy gay and lesbian photography by Givenchy, and more.
Not only does modern advertising incorporate gays and lesbians, but there’s enough of it for an entire category meriting awards and recognition. I’m eternally thankful to GLAAD for pointing out the cloud’s silver lining (dare I call it the rainbow during the storm?) in media inclusivity of the LGBT community.
