When a U.S. Marine returned to San Diego’s Camp Pendleton this week, his boyfriend, a Navy veteran, dropped to one knee and asked to marry him. Sources seem to think it’s the first marriage proposal between two men to take place on a U.S. military base. More.

Marriage equality is still not legal in France, and so activists across the country protested by getting married anyway, in a campaign called “Wedding for All.” More.

More than 200 same-sex couples participated in a “mass wedding” in Cleveland on Saturday, the largest illegal mass wedding ever. Though many of the couples present were already married in other states, they came anyway to make a statement. More.
