Barack Obama signed a law this week banning protests from occurring within 300 feet or two hours of a military funeral. 

The law seems to not-so-subtly point fingers at the Westboro Baptist Church, known for picketing military funerals with their infamously homophobic signs. This law contradicts a 2011 Supreme Court decision saying that Westboro’s funeral protests were protected by the First Amendment. 

“We have a moral sacred duty to our men and women in uniform,” said Obama at the bill signing, according to a pool report. “The graves of our veterans are hallowed grounds.”

Of course, Westboro already told CNN this isn’t going to stop them. Whatever, haters - your bigotry isn’t welcome here or anywhere.
