In this age of constant LGBT-related boycotting, an Idaho bar has staked a protest of its own, though it’s certainly not getting lots of attention. 

The Waha Bar & Grill of Lewiston, Idaho announced it would be boycotting Pepsi and MillerCoors products because the companies are involved with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce. The bar’s owners have also posted a list of other NGLCC businesses on their web site and encourage their patrons to boycott those as well. 

“MillerCoors, Pepsico, and many other companies have taken a political stance by becoming corporate founders of the NGLCC,” said owners Mike and Mari Fuller in a statement on the restaurant’s website. “While we believe in the importance of voting at the booth on Election Day, we also believe in voting with the dollars we spend. We are Christians who do not believe in supporting the goals and the politicians who support the goals of the NGLCC.”

Irony: the bar will continue to serve Coca-Cola products, even though Coke received a perfect 100 on HRC’s Buyer’s Guide in 2011. Cool story. Not terribly worried about the impact this will have.
