    • Glee's gay Valentine's episode (SPOILERS)

Glee tackled a lot of great big gay stuff in last night’s episode, including (don’t read on if you haven’t seen it): GASP! Physical Brittana contact.

There are two big LGBT-related storylines going on here. First, the school principal tells Santana and Brittany they can’t kiss at school, even though this is a clear double standard, as straight couples like Rachel and Finn are making out all over the place.

Santana challenges this by asking the religious singing group on campus to perform a song for her girlfriend, emphasizing that yes, Brittany is her girlfriend. After praying on it and a little bit of awkward group discussion, the “God Squad” decides that love is love and it’s a-OK to sing to Brit from Santana.

Second, we learn that David Karofsky, Kurt’s former bully, is actually in love with him. Kurt has to turn him down because of Blaine, obviously, and Karofsky starts to realize how he’s putting himself on the line being seen in public with Kurt.

Also we were finally introduced to Rachel’s two gay dads. Though they don’t match the faces in the original picture of Rachel’s family we see in the first season, they do a pretty great job to liven up the awkward Finchel scenes in this episode.

I personally thought most of this was pretty well done. It was realistic in showing that being in a relationship with a person of the same sex is not always easy, but overall Glee seemed to be saying that gay is okay. What did you all think?
